Shadows to Shekinah

This afternoon Lakewood Church of God held a memorial service for one of our sisters who went home to be with the Lord. Part of the Scripture I used in my sermon was this beautiful picture of Christ:
"He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high," (Heb 1.3 ESV)
In his Commentary Clarke expounds on the King James Version of Heb 1.3a:
"The brightness of his glory - Απαυγασμα της δοξης The resplendent outbeaming of the essential glory of God"
To imagine the Glory of God is a staggering thought. We, on this earth, may catch glimpses of the Glory in the midst of shadows. I'm looking forward to 24/7 Shekinah. I want to drown in the Brightness of the Glory. If I just didn't have to put up with shadows down here...
